MVRV Gradient (360 days)
The MVRV gradient measures how fast the gap between market value and realized cap changes over a year. During the steep rallies it sat high (Dec 2013 +3.03 · Dec 2017 +2.29 · Apr 2021 +2.09, each rank ≥ 96), at the lows it sat low (Dec 2018 −2.89, rank 8). The second top in Nov 2021 (+0.41, rank 55) and the Oct 2025 high (+0.35, rank 54) left little trace — the series measures speed, not price level. Each day's rank is computed only against values up to that day. Variants circulate as "MVRV Gradient Oscillator" whose computation is not openly documented; this is none of them. Descriptive, not a signal.
