LTH Share of Coin Days Destroyed

Coin Days Destroyed weights every movement by the age of the coins that moved: a ten-year-old coin destroys as many coin days as 3,650 from yesterday. This chart shows the share attributable to long-term holders (BRK definition: UTXOs from 150 days, not the 155 of the Glassnode convention). Because single days are dominated by a few large movements, the carrier is the window sum, not the daily value. We replicated the pattern that went viral in late August 2026 — "price rises while the LTH share falls": it reproduces (9 setups since 2016, 12-month median +90.0 %), but price momentum alone yields the same numbers, and since 2016 BTC has been higher a year later on 70.9 % of all days anyway.
