Share of days below today
Market Structure· DE: Anteil der Tage unter heute
The share of all days in an asset’s own history whose close was below today’s close (today itself counts as equal). Low = the price sits near the lowest closes the asset has ever had; high = near the top of its own range. Comparable across assets because it is a rank within each asset’s own history. Descriptive, not a signal.
Calculation
days_below_pct(t) = #{s ≤ t : close_s < close_t} / (t + 1) × 100, via Fenwick tree over price ranks. Completed UTC daily closes, no look-ahead.
